How late did your LO get their first tooth?

My 10.5 month old DD still hasn't got any teeth. My DS got his at 7 months.

Just wondering if this is really late to be starting to teeth? Also she is still not interested in solids....only eats miniscule amount,s won't be spoonfed and not very patient at self feeding either.

DD1 was over 10 months when she got her first tooth. Luckily my Dad is a dentist, so when I was worried I asked him. (DS was 5 months when his started.) He said he wouldn't worry until 12 months and even then probably wouldn't do anything! The only thing he could do is an x-ray to check they are on the way, but who would want to x-ray a baby? Can you feel any teeth under her gums? Maybe she isn't interested in food 'cos she is teething.

btw, apparently I was 14 months before my first tooth came through.

My DS didn't get any teeth until 13mo - seems to run in my family as I was the same. I got my adult teeth very late too (last baby tooth fell out at 11 in a Biology class) but I don't have any fillings yet and I'm 36 so if those two things are related, late teeth are good!

My dd1 got her first one just before her first birthday -I was beginning to despair that she would ever get any! I shouldn't worry they'll come when they are ready. She'll pick up the solids when she's ready too. They are all so different. My dd2 got her teeth earlier, but didn't walk til she was nearly 2!!
