I am baking and decorating a birthday cake for a big family party on Sunday. Ideally my schedule would be as follows.. Today - bake cakes Friday - cut, buttercream and royal ice tomorrow Saturday - make and apply fondant flowers Sunday take cake to do.
Its a lunch time do a few hours drive away so can't do anything sunday but worried cake will be dry if i bake today. should i make flowers today and bake tomorrow??? thanks xx
If you use a madeira sponge rather than Victoria, the sponge will keep for at least a week. I'm going to be baking on Wednesday for a cake being eaten in Sunday. I do it a lot. As long as it's iced it will keep fine
