I want to make some of those stained glass christmas biscuits

You know the ones where you cut a hole and put a boiled sweet in, and it melts? Never done it before, does anyone have a good recipe? Thanks!

Crush boiled sweets to a powder.
Bake the gingerbread or whatever until just about done.
Fill holes with powder as required, making sure not to get any on the surface of the cake.
Return to oven for 3-4 minutes until powder looks like clear boiled sweet again.
Cool slightly before removing from tray.

Do it on baking parchment or you will never get the sweet off the tray!!

Thanks for the tips- made them and they look fab grin . I found larger ones held together best.
