Freezing a steamed pudding to reheat

I have googled endlessly for this and can't find an answer so hope some of you wise bakers might know. I want to make a steamed chocolate pudding to serve alongside the Christmas pud for people who don't like it. But I'd like to make it in advance and freeze it. Will that work? Should I freeze it cooked or uncooked? Steam from frozen or defrost first? Questions, questions...Thanks
