We really like the name Isaac with Ike as a nn. I think it sounds a bit funny and cute.

My 3 childen already have biblical names and we thought we would keep up with the theme because anything else wouldn't really go.

One of my older boys is Luke. Is Luke and Ike a bit too much? I am starting to think so.

It wouldn't often be said together..more like Luke, ds2, dd1, and Isaac/Ike.

Mumsnet jury?

Hi

I dont think Ike is too much like Luke.
If its a name you both really like then go for it!! At least you can both agree on a name unlike myself!

Isaac is lovely

just call him Isaac

'funny and cute' is not a good criteria for namig a child. A teddy, yes, but not a human being.

It is in this house. All my kids names are sensible and would suit a grown up well. They are also funny and cute.

Nah would never go with something that was merely cute and funny..cause then I would end up with something like Herbie.

very sensible

I still treasure the naming thread where someone asked 'are you having a baby or a My Little Pony?'

Love the name Isaac, think it goes well with Luke (as does Ike). Sadly, DH shook his head when I suggested it as a name this morning for our DC2 (not sure if boy or girl yet).

Isaac/Ike is a good grown up name too, not just cute for a baby

Love it. Do you remember Ike Godfrey from The Waltons ?

I love Isaac. Not so keen on Ike, but if it's a nickname ...

love the name Ike, although we have a friend called Ike and DD (now 7) couldn't pronounce his name when she was younger and to this day still calls him bike!
