Is Noah very "now"?

Obviously it's a name that goes back to the bible, but I don't personally know any over the age of 5. Do you think it's a name of the moment? I'm just wondering if it will date a little or still be a regular name in 10 years time?

I have a Noah who will be 7 in January. Didn't know a single one when we named him, but within 3 weeks there was another one at church. And ever since there has usually been 'another Noah' around us. I think we've known one or two older than ours (and Boris Becker has a son called Noah), but most are his age or younger. When he started reception there were 2 Noahs in an intake of 20, and the teacher had never taught one before!

The only Noah I know is 23 so I guess its a stayer. But don't like it at all, personally.

Yes! The oldest one I know is 11 and there seem to be ark loads of Noahs being born here.

I really really like it but am worried it will be a bit 'faddy' at the minute so am undecided whether to use it or not. Despite the name clearly being around a long time!!

My Noah is nearly three and yes it does seem very 'now' although the only other one I know of in RL is 8.

I've got a 3mth old Noah. The only other one i know is at ds1's pre school so is around 3yr old.

My DS 5 months is Noah, we chose it because we love Biblical names (DD is Hannah)- my DH was a bit put out when he discovered it was popular

I work on a Maternity ward and was just commenting to dh on the rash of Noahs, loads and loads, 2 born in the last 24 hours too, so very 'now'.
But saying that dd goes to school with one who is 9 and I went to school with one too, so it hasn't come out of nowhere!

I think it's very now, a few years ago I knew none and now know several, all under 3.

I believe so. It will be 'so over' in 10 years.

Not the end of the world as most names will date
