I had narrowed it down to final two being Noah and Daniel (middle name to be James).
DH not fussed on either really, although he actively dislikes Noah sad which I love.

Yesterday he said what about Ryan? And I thought hmmmmm I actually quite like it, which is how ds came to be named when we found something that we didnt both hate but didnt both love and now I cant imagine him being anything else smile

So opinions on Ryan please? smile

MamaG Tue 20-Oct-09 11:09:36

Ooh I relaly like it. REALLY. As long as your surname isn't Air.

PestoPumpkinMonster Tue 20-Oct-09 11:10:29

I don't like it, sorry.

mosschops30 Tue 20-Oct-09 11:45:18

Yes dh mentioned the ryan-air thing, but he'll be safe with our surname.

Thanks for your opinion pesto all welcome smile

Twit Tue 20-Oct-09 11:48:10

I have a Ryan. So I like it.
[lol at Air]
Have you had him yet? [sorry for not knowing} Why not wait with your list and see. We did this with ds2 and thank goodness because although we thought Josh, we ended up with Nathan.

DiamondHead Tue 20-Oct-09 11:59:33

If you and your dh both like it, why're you asking us lot!

mosschops30 Tue 20-Oct-09 11:59:50

mosschops30 Tue 20-Oct-09 12:00:38

spookypixiebroomstix Tue 20-Oct-09 13:19:37

I like it a lot. (Congratulations!)

persephoneplum Tue 20-Oct-09 13:27:01

I like Daniel ten times more than Ryan. I find it really average. Sorry!

Seededbiatch Tue 20-Oct-09 13:31:43

Prefer either Noah or Daniel.

ja9 Tue 20-Oct-09 13:35:52

sorry. don't like it. love your names tho'....

pointyhat Tue 20-Oct-09 13:36:51

I quite like Ryan. Your dh seems to want a more standard man name. Ryan and Dan both fit the bill, good sounds.

hobbgoblin Tue 20-Oct-09 13:37:37

no, don't like at all compared with noah/daniel

Tillyscoutsmum Tue 20-Oct-09 13:39:47

I quite like Ryan..... prefer it to Daniel but not as nice as Noah imho

I'm a few weeks behind you mosschops and we're really struggling for boy's names as well

Ivykaty44 Tue 20-Oct-09 13:42:56

I like Daniel ten times more than Ryan. I find it really average.

Don't like Noah James, doesn't sound right to me - sorry

Winibaghoul Tue 20-Oct-09 13:45:52

I agree that Ryan seems really average. Noah is much nicer.
dp is like this with girls names - Elizabeth and Catherine are his top choices for girls

pointyhat Tue 20-Oct-09 13:47:13

what do you all mean by 'average'? Daniel is much more popular than Ryan.

shootfromthehip Tue 20-Oct-09 13:48:51

Ryan is a bit boring for me I'm afraid- MUCH prefer Noah. You should work harder on DH grin

Good luck with the bump!

motherof2boys Tue 20-Oct-09 14:09:59

I think I heard of a survey recently where men called Ryan were thought to be the most attractive. George came last but I don't know what the other choices were

gladders Tue 20-Oct-09 14:43:50

love daniel, quite like ryan but dislike noah...

ryan would definitely have the advantage of not being one of ten ryans in the class? easy to spell and write and no shortenings/nasty nicknames. nice solid boys name - has a lot going for it IMO

lilysam Tue 20-Oct-09 15:12:33

Think its a bit dull.....Love Daniel and also Noah...have 'Noah James' on my list too...

SomeGuy Tue 20-Oct-09 15:18:50

I always pictured Ryan as a bit rough.

Noah is fairly staid.

viennesewhirl Tue 20-Oct-09 15:25:26

We have a Noah - love it - and an Eliot (Eliot James sounds nice, doesn't it?!). I'm not so keen on Ryan, think Daniel is a much more classic, timeless, strong name.

viennesewhirl Tue 20-Oct-09 15:26:31

Love Nathan, btw. (In response to twit).
