dd2 is due on Xmas day, and DH & I are thinking of using a Christmas themed name as a middle name, or first name if she is born on 24th, 25th or 26th December.

We so far are aware of Hollie, Mary and Star, and that's about it grin

Please don't.

She'll spend her life saying "Yes, I was born at Christmas. Yes, I suppose my parents thought it was cute. Yes, I do still speak to them, but it was touch and go for a while in my teens"

I only clicked on this to see Seeker's response.

I have to admit that I am with her. Ok, go for somehting like Natalie but please, Holly and Star are just cheesey.

I second seeker on this.

Please do not use a Christmas name for a Christian name. My parents did - I hated the teasing as a child and the questions annoy me now.

A school friend of mine was born on Dec. 24th and named Drusilla Eve. Her much older siblings rose as one and left the house, saying that they wouldn't return until the DPs dropped the Drusilla.

She was fine with Eve...

Scorpio - have just clocked that you are the OP. I'm sure you know my RL name - think on it - it is NOT a good thing to do to a child! My aunt's middle name is Noelle (she's a Christmas baby too).

I'm not sure if you have any welsh connections but Seren is Welsh for star and quite popular in taffyland. Then of course there's stella etc.

Mum is welsh, as are pretty much all the rest of my family. I love Seren.
