Erm, girl or boy?

looks like Timothy spelt wrong.

Or Lemony's tiny brother...

GingGangGillyGilly Mon 28-Sep-09 10:14:19

It's a surname so you would have to like surnames as Christian names.

Reminds me of Timon

Bathsheba Mon 28-Sep-09 10:14:34

No. It looks like its been spelled wrongly.

indiechick Mon 28-Sep-09 10:15:46

Girl, to go with Stanley and George.

GingGangGillyGilly Mon 28-Sep-09 10:16:15

I would say definitely not a girl's name.

IWantCleanCarpets Mon 28-Sep-09 10:18:14

No, I would assume it was shortened to Tim

My first thought was "Timony Cricket"

ObsidianBlackbirdMcNight Mon 28-Sep-09 11:40:20

Gosh, I really like it. I think it's lovely.

But I have discovered from MN that I have terrible taste.

I know of an adult called Simoney (not sure how you spell it)but pronounced like timoney with an s at the beginning. Always thought that was a nice name.

MrsBadger Mon 28-Sep-09 12:37:27

just no

GrimmaTheNome Mon 28-Sep-09 12:37:35

It sounds like an abbreviation of Antimony. Which is a rather nasty poisonous element.

Or a dimunutive of Timon (male) or misspelling of Timothy (boy)

If your boys are Stanley and George, which are really trad, then surely you need a trad girls name to go with them not something no-one has heard of?

MrsBadger Mon 28-Sep-09 12:38:44

[sings in Tom Lehrer style]

There's Anne, Timony, arsenic, aluminim, selenium...

GrimmaTheNome Mon 28-Sep-09 12:41:43

Well yes exactly, Anne Timony came to mind just after posting.

I'm sure the periodic table could inspire all sorts of unique baby names! grin

MrsBadger Mon 28-Sep-09 12:46:57

oh yes, Selena, Golda, Beryl, Xenon (for a boy obv)...
