Oh good, I think it's lovely - just wondered if people immediately thought of Alexa Chung?

I immediately thought of Alexa Chung ...

having said that, I like most names with Xs so I could easily get past the Chung factor

I prefer Alexia, but yes, it's nice.

Love it, if I was having a girl it was my number one choice. However not finding it so easy to choose a boys name, hope you choose it!

I like it, not in my top 10 of grils names, but it is very nice.

I like it. What's wrong with Alexa Chung anyway?

It's a nice name, but IMO it's a little harsh and nowhere near as timeless, classic or elegant as Alexandra.

In fact it sounds a little bit footballer's wife to me. It has hints of aspiration about it. Sorry!

Also, a Barbie film was recently made with an Alexa as one of the main characters. Say no more. grin

I'm not a fan, sorry.

I'm am Alexandra and have never changed it to Alexa. In fact I HATE my name.

Why? Because although Alexandra is nice, Alex is very unisex and mostly associated with boys. When I was at school, people used to ask me why I had a boys name and eople think I'm male until they meet me.
I often get addressed as Alexander- the make form.

I think Alexa is an even worse version of Alex. Alexandra doesn't go with my marriage Irish surname either, so I am thinking of changing my name from Alexandra to something more feminine.

But that is just my opinion.
