too much of an old fashioned bible name?

TheCrackFox Wed 09-Sep-09 18:36:41

I like it.

tigger32 Wed 09-Sep-09 18:42:15

I love the name Noah, Dh however really doesn't.

VanillaIce Wed 09-Sep-09 18:42:16

I love it. My only reservation in using it ourselves is the prospective of shouting "No, Noah" a hundred times a day throughout his toddler years... I had also read elsewhere on Mumsnet that it's becoming quite common (by which I mean popular!) but hopefully that doesn't put you off. It puts a lot of people off on these forums!

Go for it smile

Love it!

mammychildminder Wed 09-Sep-09 18:45:17

PrincessToadstool Wed 09-Sep-09 18:46:23

Love it, it's my DS's middle name.

suwoo Wed 09-Sep-09 18:48:38

My DS1's name. He is nearly three.

LittleMissWorryHead Wed 09-Sep-09 18:50:13

I love Noah, but i do think its becoming very popular - its up to you whether this would put you off or not.

Noah Dance?? I'm afraid I wouldn't go with Noah if that was my surname.....

No but I know a song....

mammychildminder Wed 09-Sep-09 18:52:35

yea that was my fear haha. only 1 person said that to me so far though (littlemiss being the 2nd) i love the name so much though

LittleMissWorryHead Wed 09-Sep-09 18:56:06

What about Leo instead? Don't know why but it just popped into my head.......I have a friend who can't use the name she has loved for years because of her surname, how cruel!!!

I love the name Noah, and if I have a 3rd DS that will be his name. Think my husband is coming round to trying for DC3 so may be one day ... (grin)

2greatboys Fri 11-Sep-09 09:45:47

grin grin

Spidermama Fri 11-Sep-09 09:47:38

I like Noah.

Maveta Fri 11-Sep-09 09:51:17

love it, have one of my very own grin people have said it's a bit hard to say with his surname (it begins with 'A' so you have to make a kind of pause between his first and last name or they join together) but people don't really go around calling you by your full name all day, do they? They don't to me anyway!

Nancy66 Fri 11-Sep-09 12:35:07

Love it - becoming very very popular though, it's in the top 5 in America and i've noticed a huge leap in popularity here - think it could be the next Jack or Alfie.

vess Fri 11-Sep-09 12:55:47

Nothing wrong with it... just can't see why it's so popular. Don't love it, don't hate it either.

diddl Fri 11-Sep-09 13:29:24

Love it!
But not sure with your surname.
Sebastian?
Elijah?

PrammyMammy Sun 13-Sep-09 12:59:24

I love it, DS is Noah and 'Noah no' is often passing my lips lol.
It was in the 2007 (maybe 2006?) Silver Cross Heritage catalogs top ten boys name part the back. Quite high up if i remember.

bess23 Sun 13-Sep-09 15:34:06
