Jude

Unless you are going to send him to prep-school, and possibly Oxford.

Love, love, love Jude. Not so keen on Jolyon.

Jude - jolyon will lead to a lifetime of mispellings, mispronounciation and pisstaking.

Jude is ok although I do prefer it as a girls name.

Jude is OK, Jolyon sound like a drip dry fabric..

Definitely Jude, fantastic name.

I don't even know how to pronounce the other one.

What's wrong with good old fashioned Julian? Why the strange spelling? I assume Jolyon (which is wrong on many levels) is pronounced more or less the same way?

neither for me.

loads of judes where i live and i just here 'jolly-on' when i see Jolyon.

if i had to choose it would be Jude....

I don't like either. Jude makes me think of that twat Jude Law (aka Celebrity Dave), and Jolyon just screams boarding school .

Rindercella · 07/09/2009 18:15

Ah yes, MamaL, Jude Law. Instantly puts me off the name after thinking I love it so much!

Jolyon sounds like a euphemism for an erection, sorry. Quite like Jude, but they will get sick of that song.

jolyon sounds like a brand of suppository - new jolyon twice a day. reduce faecal impaction

Lol bitoffun, was exactly what I was thinking (in the sense of 'oh look he's got a huge jolly-on!), thought it was just my dirty mind!!

Love Jude though, would be what our soon to be born second DS would be called if only I could get OH to agree..

One of our best male friends is a Jolyon (or is it Joylon??) anyway, he calls himself Joe .

Report
TheBolter · 07/09/2009 21:24

And I love Jude, it's the only boy's name I've liked enough to choose for what turned out to be dd1 and dd2, so I haven't got to use it yet!

janeite · 07/09/2009 21:26
