Baby names

Is Theo becoming too common?

Hi all,

Quite fancy the name Theo but then I read it's one of those names "on the up". Is this because of the footballer? Does that mean it will soon become a bit chavvy? I've liked it since I was an au-pair in France many years ago and the baby I looked after was called Theophile, Theo for short.

LOL @ Theophile!!! Wouldn't really work over here...

I think Theo will suffer an over-explosion of popularity, yes.

I meet a lot of toddlers in my job and have met several Theos. Lovely name though, don't let it put you off.

I like it, but I think it's very popular. I prefer Leo. I think Leo is more classic.

Wdyt of Thaddeus? I know of a little Thaddeus, nn Thady (taydee) but could also be nnd Theo or Teddy.

It's common where we live. Sorry!
