NOTHING that begins with the letter 'T'

LauraKB Wed 19-Aug-09 13:25:43

Lol, absolutely agreed. grin We originally really liked the name Toby, but very quickly realised that wouldn't be very good.

We are thinking of making it a middle midle name (i.e. between 2 others) for a boy but we'll see.

I also liked the name Juno years ago but again quickly realised that wasn't a goer!

tiredOFTHEDMemma Wed 19-Aug-09 13:35:18

LOL @ Juno.

I only say a massive no to it because my surname is very similar (just put an s on the end). I have cousin called Thomas who was teased relentlesly through secondary school.

Den,Anita and Sharon come to mind for some reasongrin.

Only kidding, my fav's are Carys and saul.

I love the name Saul. Have only ever met one person with that name.

LauraKB Wed 19-Aug-09 13:47:15

I like Carys, will suggest that tonight. Not so keen on Saul with Watt because it sounds quite like 'So' to me.

It's mainly girl's names we are struggling with but we don't know what we're having as baby was being very modest at the scan.

Curly?

LauraKB Wed 19-Aug-09 14:07:29

Den, Angie, Sharon, Curly.... That was Watts not Watt, its different.

AspasiaManos Wed 19-Aug-09 14:07:55

The only Watts I know called their children Eleanor and James.

AspasiaManos Wed 19-Aug-09 14:08:45

When I say "Watts" I mean their surname was actually "Watt" - sorry!

midnightexpress Wed 19-Aug-09 14:10:56

It's a Scottish name, I think, isn't it, so I might be inclined to go with something Scottish like Isobel.

LauraKB Wed 19-Aug-09 14:13:47

It is Scottish yes. I hadn't thought of Isobel but actually that's quite nice. I think I like the spelling Isabel though. I also like Eleanor. OH will probably say no chance when I go in, but then I have 'no chanced' a quite a few names he likes smile.

midnightexpress Wed 19-Aug-09 14:15:27

Or Isabella is pretty too. And I like Izzy as a NN too.

LauraKB Wed 19-Aug-09 14:19:18

My Mum likes Isabella, but anything ending in 'a' I think can sound a bit funny with Watt eg it sounds a bit like Isla What? Rosa What? etc. Really like both of those names but sound a bit funny to me.

AspasiaManos Wed 19-Aug-09 14:27:02

Oh yeah, like "Is a bell a what?"

Deffo avoid names ending in "a". smile

Neel1411 Wed 19-Aug-09 14:41:17

I think I'd avoid names starting with s to avoid 'swot' nickname.

I had a friend called Lewis and that seemed to go ok.
