saw it in a book I was reading to my dcs tonight.

Thought I'd throw it out there. Not my cup of tea but might be someone else's.

Dont see why it couldn't become more popular, after all, it is similar to Eric, which is becoming more popular!
I rather like Osric!

For me, it would be fine as the name of a character in a fairytale but not for a real child, no.

LionstarBigPants Fri 14-Aug-09 21:36:35

Ozric Tentacles anyone?

bluebump Fri 14-Aug-09 21:37:34

That was my first thought LionstarBigPants!

Immediately makes me think of Ozric Tentacles.

Ozric Tentacles was my first thought too as I once shared a student house with a hippy guy who was really into them.

Mushroom tea anyone?

Osric sounds like a perfect name if you want your son to be beaten up behind the bike sheds on a regular basis!

KnickKnack Fri 14-Aug-09 22:27:05

ahh happy memories

KnickKnack Fri 14-Aug-09 22:27:44

...of the tenticles, NOT beaten in the bike sheds shock
