Dane...

What do you think of the name Dane? We are still pondering over boys names and don't seem to be getting any closer to agreeing!!

Husband seems to be sticking to Dylan, which I do like but fear is a bit common. Some days I like, some I don't. I want a name I LOVE but really struggle with boys.

Our girls names are mostly Scandinavian type ones:

Ingrid
Astrid
Saskia
Freya
Claudia

Any boys name suggestions along the same lines?! I want something not too 'weird' but also not too boring...

Current boys options are:

Fraser
Dylan
Sebastian (but not keen on Seb)
Aaron
Dane

Oh and no names ending with a 'y' or 'ie' please - our surname ends with a 'by' so it gets a bit rhymey and sounds silly.

Dane who did that duet with posh spice has chavvified that name for me. Like any of the others esp Sebastian and Claudia

Love Sebastian (but agree with you about Seb). Like Dylan. Don't like Fraser or Aaron and think Dane sounds silly, sorry.

Dane is common around here .
I like it best from the names on your list, but I like Seb okay, too.
One of the Danes we know is a top athletic competitor (among 9-10 yo boys). The other 9yo Dane is just an ordinary boy (his mum has lots of piercings, though).

the only Dane i know has a tiny penis and an inflated ego. and he makes rubbish records with talentless clothes horses.
but don'#t let that cloud your opinion

LOL thanks ladies!!

I don't know any Danes in real life, so it wouldn't be common around here. Hmph I'm just so unsure about boys names...

Stupid names.

VAB, as we have such similar taste (you posted on my Ingrid/Astrid thread) thought you might like to hear my boys options: Magnus and Evan. I like Magnus and DH likes Evan (not sure about Elliot (DS) and Evan together). From your list I probably like Dylan best (sorry to side with DH!)
