Hi MNers,
Having twins early September -don't know the sex of the babies. This is what we've come up with:
Boy - Girl: Arthur and Daisy
Boy Boy: Arthur and Henry
Girl Girl: Daisy and Millie
Struggling with girl middle names - we like Millie Rose but not sure about Daisy Rose - a bit flowery! Boy middle names will be DH's name and my brother's name.
They will be our first DC's.

Any thoughts welcome!

Daisy May. I like them all BTW.

nevergoogledragonbutter Fri 10-Jul-09 18:54:17

All good.

screamingabdab Fri 10-Jul-09 18:55:49

I like your boys names.

I'm sorry, but I don't like the girls names. They are great for baby and little girl, but not for an adult, IMVHO

love Arthur and Henry but I've never been a huge fan of either Daisy or Millie - just personal taste though, they're perfectly lovely names

Daisy Kate a possible mn combo?

congrats on your twins smile

I like them.

How about
Millie Cecilia and Daisy Camille

katylou25 Fri 10-Jul-09 18:57:34

I like Daisy May too - is on my list for if I ever have a girl - and love Daisy and Millie together. Not sure about Arthur and Henry together makes me think of Kings and history not a good association for me but may be for you!!!

ZippysMum Fri 10-Jul-09 19:12:56

Thanks all! Katylou - I hadn't thought of the history thing tbh - though a good point! Me and DH have different tastes in boys' names and it took us ages to find 2 we agreed on!
Screaming - also point taken on the little girl / adult thing. Daisy Jesse was my nan's name and that's why we like Daisy (she didn't though, and called herself Jesse her whole life!). We have some other ideas for a second girl - we like Bella, Lily and Jess as well.

Really great to get some feedback.

Also like May as a middle, thanks smallblessings!

dizzydixies Fri 10-Jul-09 19:13:48

why not have Jessica nn Jess and Amelie/Amelia/Camille/Millicent known as Millie then?

englishpatient Fri 10-Jul-09 19:15:15

Daisy, Millie and Arthur are lovely, not quite so keen on Henry. How about Daisy Anna?

expertinscunthorpe Fri 10-Jul-09 19:15:26

My friend has a Bella, a Lily and a Jess!

ZippysMum Fri 10-Jul-09 19:19:22

Thanks dizzy. I like Amelie (Millie for short) but not so keen on Amelia or Millicent. Jessica is def. a possibility for a second girl - Daisy and Jess sounds good together I think!

Still thinking about the 'Kings of England' thing - will broach with dh over tea!

ZippysMum Fri 10-Jul-09 19:21:24

Ideas for a second boy, then? Middle name will be Paul, after my brother. Our surname begins with F.
Thanks for all the input, btw - we've been agonising over this for months!

dizzydixies Fri 10-Jul-09 19:24:22

I loved Arthur and Henry, can't go wrong there!

Arthur nn Art is FAB!

there are loads of FAB boys names but I like the ones you've already chosen smile

Amelie and Jessica known as Millie and Jess is lovely

Amelie Rose and Jessica Daisy smile

my friend has a Jessica Daisy and she is a complete doll

FlappyTheBat Fri 10-Jul-09 19:24:58

Please do not consider these names:

Star and Angel

Sky Blue and can't remember the name that went with Red

Alex and Zander

I haven't made these up, genuine names that parents have given to their twins,

englishpatient Fri 10-Jul-09 19:27:54

Arthur and Daniel? (but might get shortened to Danny / Dan - I don't like those!)
Arthur and David?
Arthur and Simon?

loobylu3 Fri 10-Jul-09 19:41:59

Congrats on your twins!
Henry and Arthur are both fab.
I also love Daisy but find Millie really twee and little girly. Out of your others, I love Bella and it has a beautiful meaning too.

If you choose Daisy, perhaps a slightly more 'grown up' middle name sounds good. Daisy Kate is great or even Daisy Catherine.
How about:

Daisy Annabel (not with Bella perhaps)
Daisy Beatrice
Daisy Ruth
Daisy Maude
Daisy Alice
Daisy Juliet
Daisy Florence
Daisy Natasha
Daisy Miranda

ZippysMum Fri 10-Jul-09 20:00:29

Thanks looby!

I also really like Bella - though I suspect both DH and I will end up lengthening it to Bellatrix le Strange (from HP) though hopefully that wouldn't scar her for life....

I really like Daisy Kate - DH not so keen. Single syllable middle with Daisy works really well.
Daisy Grace?
Bella Rose?

largeginandtonic Fri 10-Jul-09 20:06:31

Very good but no Mae, tis like the Louise and Jane of 30 years ago.

I have a Samuel and Jacob, excellent choice imho wink

Arthur and Millie

Athur and Henry

Millie and Kate

ZippysMum Fri 10-Jul-09 20:14:46

Classic quote from DH "Henry's not a king's name..." shock!!

Eeeer hellooo?

loobylu3 Fri 10-Jul-09 20:27:10

Oh dear! I think you need to buy him a history book!
I would try to persuade him to use Daisy Kate as I think it's much nicer than Daisy Mae. Everybody uses Mae or Rose as middle names. Kate is classic and cool at the same time.
If you like 1 syllable, what about:
Tess, Claire, Joy, Hope or Nell?

ZippysMum Fri 10-Jul-09 20:37:25

Aha looby - great minds and all that...
Joy and Hope also an the shortlist as middles.
Leaning towards Rose as best friend is called Rosie.

What about Daisy Grace if one girl
and Bella Hope if two girls?

Or too twee to have 'matching' middles?

Kate is cool and classic, I agree - also my cousin's name! maybe DH will come round...

Any thoughts on a second boy name... I'm loving your ideas! DH liked George (Dizzy's suggestion) , but I'm not so keen.

ZippysMum Fri 10-Jul-09 20:39:18

Oooh no - Bella Hope - Bell hop??

gero Fri 10-Jul-09 20:47:11

Arthur and Henry are great names for boy twins.
Daisy and Millie are great names too, but please check out you local nursery and pre-schools first.
Lots and lots of Daisy and Millies.

My DC call their friends Millie A, Millie B, etc.Daisy C, Daisy E.
I have tried to stop it, but it seems to be the norm among their friends.
Twins are great, good luck and let us know how it all goes.
