DH loves it - I like it, but am not sure if it is too "old" - any thoughts?!

"sorry to hear about you and Satan" yikes!

Brings to mind Hilda Ogden....

"Stan-LEEEEEY!"

Guaranteed a great job on the bins with a name like that.

If we used it, I think it would be Stanley, with Stan for short - rather than just Stan.

DH loves it and it is definitely growing on me...!

I like it, but it reminds me of the Eminem song where Stan murders his girlfriend at the end.

But I still like it

Also love it. My DH not so keen though unfortunately.

Fantastic name. Classic proper name but very cool right now and not yet too popular but think it will get more popular in future. Both full and short names are great. Go for it.

I really like it - just heard a little boy being called it in the park the other day - and I too had a bit of a 'Oh damm - we should have called our DS that' type moment!

In fact we even had a in depth discussion about it .... however he is 2 so clearly would be bonkers to change his name!

I think it's great.

I love it now, Stanley was my dad's name and we thought it so embarrassing many years ago. It's back in fashion but not too common yet. Of the 'Grandad cool' ilk.

A couple of guys I know who have a surname e.g Standing etc like to be known as Stan.
