Kitty, Kizzie, Kezzie, Jessie,
which is nicest? And what can they be short for, as i prefer a more elegant name that can be shortened to something sweet. Other than Katherine!

Kizzie / Kezzie are short for Kezia / Keziah, which is an old biblical name. One of DHs ancient relatives had this name (a great great aunt or something) and he had it on his list when naming DD (we didn't use it though).

Kitty is short for Katherine - but can be used on it's own. I like this name loads.

Jessie is short for Jessica, but can be a name in it's own right too. I have met a couple of very old ladies who are just called Jessie.

Kezzie for Keziah is nice, pretty and quite unusual

Kitty for Katherine, Katelyn..

Jessie for Jessica, Jessabel, Jessamin..

love your taste in names!

DD2 is Keziah nn Kizzy and DD3 is Keturah nn Kitty - obviously i love then both

Keturah is also a biblical name, and means incense. Kexiah was the name of one of Jobs three beautiful daughters and comes from Cassia, the cinnamon tree.

its very nice you think you are going to pick the nickname - but it doesn;t work out that way.

katherine will be kat. i'd put money on it

if you want a 'kitty' call her kitty - then she will be 'kit'
