what do you think?

Its Ezekiel in the long form i guess but i would be tempted to just go Zeke {like Jake not Jacob}

I think if you like it you should absolutely go for it.
It's original and I think it's fine (although I wouldn't use it myself).

I also think that sometimes there's nothing wrong with the old-fashioned 'keeping a name to yourself'.

If you had a beautiful baby and said, 'here's Zeke'. No one would say bleurgh at that point but some might now (hopefully no one).

one of the main basketball players in high school musical is called zeke.....

i like it, but "zeke the geek" springs to mind as the immediate name calling potential!

No comes to mind. And yes Zeek the geek is a likely unfortunate nickname.

Like it too. But hadn't thought of unfortunate nickname potential. How about isaac (nn zac)?

There is a Zeke in Neighbours.

I think it's OK. I like Zeph too. Prefer their short forms or Zephyr.

It reminds me of Neighbours too but it's an ok name.

It looks nice, but I wouldn't be sure how to pronounce it - Zeekee or Zekk-e?

I'm with Fimbo - people will be all 'Oh, like Zeke off Neighbours?'.

Just makes me think Zeke the Friek. Sorry.

IMO it sounds made up - sorry

I knew a Zeke in the US. I like it (and let's face it, most names have dodgy nicknames to go with them).

Ezekiel is pretty fab, although perhaps a little too biblical (we were thinking of Ezra though, so I can't really talk!). Zeke as a name on it's own does sound made up to me.

I like it. And I like Zeke in Neighbours too!- in a non-pervy way...he's the kind of teenage boy I can imagine myself being mother to (although forced myself to give up the Neighbours addiction the beginning of this year )

Zeke (as well as simply being a shortened versio of Ezekiel) can be associated with any of the following

and I have to say that Zeke the punk band have appeared on some rather compliations - just look at here (WARNING - so rather titles)

I'm Australian and grew up with quite a few Zekes (pre-neighbours, even) They were always cool and sought-after. Certainly not geeks.

still quite a popular name over there. I like Z names. Have only just abandoned Zephaniah as possibility for current bump.

There's also a Zeke in High School Musical, which would amuse any tweenagers you know. I don't mind it though.

My snake was called Ezekiel and we called him Zeke for short.

So to me its a snakes name, but I imagine I am in the minority
