What do you reckon?

BananaFruitBat Wed 24-Jun-09 21:05:17

It made me think of Frogmella. Sorry.

DisturbinglySexuallyInactive Wed 24-Jun-09 21:07:01

sounds a bit too much like an order at a bar = astrella and some pork scratchings please

Miggins Wed 24-Jun-09 21:07:24

Awful......sorry

Tidey Wed 24-Jun-09 21:10:59

Estrella, Spanish for star, might sound nicer but is pronounced Est-raya. There was a little girl called Astra at DS's playgroup. Or Stella or Estelle?

ButtercupWafflehead Wed 24-Jun-09 21:19:34

It sound like two names squashed into one.

Sorry.

janeite Wed 24-Jun-09 21:21:37

Sorry but I think it's dreadful.

Lissya Wed 24-Jun-09 21:22:49

Dont like it, sorry.

It sounds totally invented and try-hard.

Astrid or Stella are fine, lovely actually, but Astrella is bizarre combination of the two and does bring to mind Stella (beer) Frogmella (say no more) and conjured-up names spelt funny (say no more).

DisturbinglySexuallyInactive Wed 24-Jun-09 21:24:43

estrella is a beautiful name though

GrimmaTheNome Wed 24-Jun-09 21:30:33

Or, for that matter, Estelle or Estalla

GrimmaTheNome Wed 24-Jun-09 21:31:15

I meant Estella. That was a typo not a deliberate attempt at uniqueness!

audley Wed 24-Jun-09 22:13:58

How about Astraea, the Greek virgin goddess of justice?

toadstool Wed 24-Jun-09 22:36:20

Astral projection springs to mind - sorry. I like Estelle, Estrella and Astraea, and how about Astrid (Dutch), or Asta (Danish)?

kittywise Wed 24-Jun-09 22:38:31

no

hambler Wed 24-Jun-09 22:48:31

gynaecological sounding

Deemented Thu 25-Jun-09 06:21:12

Sounds like a hand cream, sorry.

MamaLazarou Thu 25-Jun-09 09:05:32

It sounds made up and silly.

CurryMaid Thu 25-Jun-09 09:08:03

Someone I worked with's wife was called this.

I quite like it.

Think it's also the name of Donovan's daughter.

Milliemuffin Thu 25-Jun-09 21:38:32

Not that I like the name but I just saw it listed on a baby names page...

www.askamum.co.uk/Baby/Search-Results/Baby-names/What-not-to-name-your-baby/

Milliemuffin Thu 25-Jun-09 21:41:31

Forgot to mention it's under the 'what not to name your baby' section...

Ronaldinhio Thu 25-Jun-09 21:42:31

second name Fenella..?

Bonneville Thu 25-Jun-09 21:53:47

Its not a name. Its silly and sounds stupid. Sorry.

MrsMattie Thu 25-Jun-09 23:35:25

Estrella is lovely (although the name of a Spanish lager!). Astrella is not very nice and sounds made up.
