Just been watching the Birthday slot on CBeebies and there was a card for Scrumpy!

Surely its a nickname, because its awful as a name!

MamaLazarou Mon 22-Jun-09 10:25:14

Was Scrumpy definitely not a dog?

Frasersmum123 Mon 22-Jun-09 10:30:39

Nope - the card had Scrumpy in big glittery letters and a picture of the smiley lad in question.

BunnyLebowski Mon 22-Jun-09 11:18:47

Haha that's brilliant!

Ooh on milkshake this morning there was a card for an Isabellie Lorna Kelly!

Oh and for an Angel from big sis Paris and big bro Romeo!

It's probably a nickname for Scrumptious.

sleepsforwimps Mon 22-Jun-09 12:44:07

Maybe it's short for Scrumpy-Jack?grin

MadreInglese Mon 22-Jun-09 12:45:36

maybe his name is Jack?

HecatesTwopenceworth Mon 22-Jun-09 12:46:00

It must be a nickname, surely?

Niecie Mon 22-Jun-09 12:47:44

Maybe rather than naming the child after the place he was conceived, he was named after the 'influences' at work whilst he was being conceived.

I should imagine, if the idea took off, there would be a fair few Merlots, Guinnesses or Horlicks (maybe not) around in due course.

thumbwitch Mon 22-Jun-09 12:52:02

Oh and there was I about to suggest Merrydown if we're going for cider names.

lol niecie - probably!

Niecie Mon 22-Jun-09 12:58:22

I quite like the name Merrydown. blush

Frasersmum123 Mon 22-Jun-09 13:04:24

But if it was a nickname would you put it on a card? No-one else will know who it is?

Its an awful name, and if it is his real name I hope he has a sensible middle name - poor lad!

Frasersmum123 Mon 22-Jun-09 13:06:04

I bet there are a few Stellas out there and thier parents think its hilarious!

Paolosgirl Mon 22-Jun-09 13:16:30

JamesAndTheGiantBanana Mon 22-Jun-09 14:34:50
