We were set on Luca for a boy and Faith juliet for a girl.

Now someone has mentioned Lucah for a boy or girl.. which name is nicer?

boy- Luca/Lucah?
girl- Faith/Lucah?

Luca/Luka for a boy.

Don't like Lucah as a girls name. I also prefer Juliet to Faith, but they're both nice names.

Where does Lucah come from?

Are you sure about Luca, not Luke? I always thing that names ending in -a always sound as if they are girls names.

I so much prefer Luca.
I don't like Lucah for a girl.

Luca is lovely, but will be assumed to be a girl's name I think.

The problem is that Lucia just isn't pronounced Loosha. It's Lu-chia or Lu-SEE-a or LU-se-a.

My 2 year old son is Luca - for me it's the best name in the world so it gets my vote (spelt exactly how you want it spelt)! We tend to get strong reactions, people either love it or hate it, which surprises me because although we chose it to be unusual, it's not exactly weird is it?!

No it's not weird at all, good choice lucamum

I think I'll stick with our original ideas, thanks

A friend called her son Luka, and it suits him well, but she's got Jewish/Eastern European heritage. My DSis also called her son Luka, and he's half Irish, half English, so I think it's slightly odd for him. I haven't seen it written with a 'c'. And definitely not for a girl.

Personally I don't like Faith, but then I'm not keen on anything with religious overtones.
