ha ha ha ha, just read this thread out to DH because he MASSIVELY vetoed Tamsin for my DD. She would have been Tamsin. DH cannot stand Tamsin Outhwaite, so put his foot down. I'm expecting again in August and DH has said if it's a girl he'll 'let' me call her Tamsin.

So yay, Tamsin gooooooooood!

Sidge Thu 18-Jun-09 21:25:27

I really like Tamsin.

Horton Thu 18-Jun-09 21:45:25

Nay nay nay nay nay. No. I think it's really 80s.

But Tamzin Outhwaite is really really nice. I used to know her, a long time ago in a different life.

I have a lovely friend called Tamsin smile

FruitynNutty Thu 18-Jun-09 21:47:15

Tammy's rather nice

WolframAlpha Thu 18-Jun-09 21:51:26

Lovely. No 80s connotations for me...

rubyslippers Fri 19-Jun-09 08:04:04

hmmm - seems overall a good choice

BlueChampagne Fri 19-Jun-09 13:04:47

Pinkjenny Fri 19-Jun-09 13:06:41

I really like Tamsin, Tasmin and Tamara, but really dislike Tammy.

Fimbo Fri 19-Jun-09 13:08:50

Tammy reminds me of a Barbie doll for some reason.

Do like Tamsin though.

Knickers0nMaHead Fri 19-Jun-09 13:12:38

IusedtobeSnowWhiteButIDrifted Fri 19-Jun-09 13:21:57

I like Tamsin, but prefer the Cornish spelling (Tamsyn). Think Thomas Hardy used Tamsin.

pranma Sat 20-Jun-09 22:56:16

I absolutely love Tamsin and am another fan of Romney Marsh ahhhhh sweet nostalgia, how about Merrion[sp?]for a boy

MoominMymbleandMy Sat 20-Jun-09 23:30:02

I love Tamsin. It was the name of my much missed cat.

If DS had been a DD I was seriously considering Tamsin as a middle name, but DH thought it would cause trouble if I called a baby after a cat instead of a relative.

But I liked my cat much more than the relatives.

Firawla Sun 21-Jun-09 11:56:58
