I already have a Charlotte and an Eliza and expecting DD3 in August. I love Harriet but my husband is concerned it is too similar sounding to Charlotte. Please give me your opinion. Thanks heaps.

I think the three names are all lovely and Harriet would fit in with your other two, not too similar in my opinion (don't you hate it when the time difference means nobody answers you for ages [grin})

I think they are all very pretty names, they go together well but are not too similar.

They do have quite a similiar end sound but they are not ludicrously similiar. I think that they are OK together.

I think they are al lovely-I am puzzled because I can't see any similarity.

That's not a big deal at all, but Harriet isn't a nice name imo. What about Juliet?
Much nicer.

Just fine, I think.

I like Harriet. Actually, I like Juliet, too.

I think they are lovely. Very trad, very pretty and fit very nicely with Eliza.

Excellent choices all three.

They do tend to get called Hattie when they're older which isn't quite so lovely, but otherwise I think it's a nice name and goes well with Charlotte. And I don't think they're too similar.

I think it is a bit too similar in that if you bellowed one up the stairs they might be a bit confused, as they both end in a "t" sound.

(That is my patented "bellowing-up-the-stairs" test)

Lovely. I wanted a Harriet (Hattie) after 'Tom's Midnight Garden' but dp wouldn't have it. It goes beautifully with the other names.

nope not similar.
charlie and Harrie.
Beautiful, one is my sister's name and the other is one I wanted for my dd.

I don't think they are too similar in their full form but if they are shortened to Hattie and Lottie then it may get a little more confusing!

no they are fine together

I don't think they sound too similar at all - wouldn't even have crossed my mind.

Love, love, love the name Harriet btw

DD is Harriet Sophie Charlotte, she is always called harriet, never ever been called Hattie or Harry!

beautiful names, all of them, and they all go well together. I know two Harriets and they are both gorgeous little girls, very feisty and very bright. It's a timeless, classic name too, with loads of possible abbreviations.
