Unusual name for 3rd DD

I've just found out today we're having our third girl! I think we've got her name but just not sure (I was kind of hoping for a boy this time around).

DD1 is Lilith Louise (1st feminist/my middle name)
DD2 is Alethea Ivy (Greek version of my name/DH Grandma) Thea for short.

My DH has one stipulation no repeated initials so J, V, L and A are out. He and his mum share the same initial so lead to much confusion when letters were addressed to J XXXXXX.

Our current choice is Callia Ianthe (Beautiful/purple flower) but I'm just not sure. I've used up all my crush names on my previous baby naming opportunities children.

Any suggestions? We like odd, unusual names with either a strong history/sweet meaning/family significance.

I think your current choice is lovely and goes very well with the others.

I love Alethea!!!

How about

Persephone
Isis
Ianthe (as a first name!)
Magnolia
Gloria
Thisbe

Hmmmm- will have to have a think!

I love your dd's names (recognise you from another forum i think - so outstanding are your name choices ).
I am not sure I like Callia though, it is OK, but doesnt grab me in the way that Alethea and Lilith do.
Ianthe as a first name is lovely though!

Your choice is lovely. What about Xanthe? It is a bit like Ianthe.

Thank you ladies for all the suggestions. I like Ottilie as I secretly like Odette too (written not spoken). I also love Xanthe.

Is Eleni pronounced Eh-len-ee or Eh-lane-ee or?? Is it Welsh? If so that would be a fab name as am half Welsh.

My only problem with Ianthe as a 1st name is people pronouncing it Ian-the (i.e. boys name Ian and the word The).

The teasing potential where I live is horrendous, it's a bit....erm....how shall I say it with out coming across as a flaming snob....erm....rough??....sacastic??...like me.... So unfortunaltely that has to factor in too.

I think I'm just conflicted because the boy's name has been set in stone since 2005 - Eric Steven (both family names) - and I'd got it into my head this one was a boy.

Well, Eric would be very unusual for a girl

Sorry Lockets but Erica just seems 'wrong' with the others....I can't imagine shouting, Lilith, Thea, Erica.....did I say shouting I meant calling melodifously. Ahem.

I'm weird I know .

I agree with you Verity - 'Erica' is sort of spiky and not at all round cornered is it?
