Baby names: I need a boy's name a bit like Arthur, but not :)

It's the only name DH and I can agree on for a boy (with a possibility of George, but we're only half in love with that). Arthur does not go with our surname at all! Help as we've been thinking about this for months and not come up with anything!

Edward? Edwin?

I love Arthur - it will be my next [imaginary] boys name.

Arthur is a fabulous name

I immediately also thought of Albert (Albie, Bertie) and Wilfred (Wilf).

Stanley?
Frank/ie?
Barney?
Alfie?
Archie?
Henry/Hal?

Is your surname sixpence?

Ellis?

We loved Albert but it would have been an INCREDIBLY bad idea for us (Albert + surname = large round building in London)

[gein]

Alfred?

(DDs grandpas had between them Arthur, Alfred and Albert - good solid names all.)

Edmund?

lol PAB
I'm really sorry everyone, not keen on most of these - I knew we were fussy and willing to have everyone give up on us!
I liked Arthur because it's a traditional name but also quite modern sounding (can be shortened to Art). I do quite like Henry artifarti and tracybath so will go and mention it to DH, thanks
Our surname starts THUR - so it would be a mouthful, and people would constantly think his first name was 'R'

No sorry PY - I do appreciate people's suggestions
Not sure about Artie - think DH will veto it because it's a shortning of Arthur anyway

BIL is Gregory so we can't use that (avoiding naming him after someone)
Charles, Charlie, hmmm...that's a possibility, thanks

Albie for Albert?

If I had another son I would call him Wolf or Zac (Zachariah), but that is a whole other thread..
