had ethan down as boys name of choice when preg with DC1 who turned out to be a girl. 2.5 years later we are expecting a boy and still like ethan but seem to be quite a few around. has it had a surge? is it becoming too popular? not aspiring to be unique or unusual but would rather not be 5 others in his class at school.

Someone at toddler group has just used it. I am sure I told her that was what we were going for. Not someone I see outside of toddler group and wont be same school but does make me jittery. Am 39wks and DP is starting to panic that not completely fixed name.

I like Ethan. I think it's popularity is on the increase but not alarmingly so. I only sort of know one Ethan.
Use it smile

OMG I have have just completed the quiz "What will your Son's name be?" on Facebook with the result Ethan.
"Ethan is a unique name. He will be a happy little soul with lots of love to give. He will grow up to be very smart and his smile will light up the room!."

Freaky or what!?

But if you love the name, does it really matter if there is another ethan in his class at school?

My ds2 is called Ethan, it wasn't that popular when I chose it, typical that there are now a few younger ones in the area.
