Do you like it?

moondog Sun 05-Apr-09 16:27:30

No.
And it's not how you write it either.

LisaLouby27 Sun 05-Apr-09 16:28:42

Oh damn, I meant phoenix blush

Nancy66 Sun 05-Apr-09 16:28:49

No, just awful.

EdwardCullensWife Sun 05-Apr-09 16:34:27

No. Not at all.

itchyandscratchy Sun 05-Apr-09 16:35:21

so there you go!

edam Sun 05-Apr-09 16:36:52

Sorry, I don't like it either.

If you really want to be different, try Peter or John - these days unusual names are so popular it's the 'normal' names that would stand out.

gavel Sun 05-Apr-09 16:40:28

Edam is right.

If you want to be unique, call him Kevin.

Dare ya.

LetThemEatCake Sun 05-Apr-09 17:05:41

slayerette Sun 05-Apr-09 17:10:20

Yes, only choose a name for your child that you can spell without having to think about it grin

I know a boy called Phoenix NN Nix

but not keen i'm afraid

nevergoogledragonbutter Mon 06-Apr-09 16:16:09

phoenix is fab.
i love it.

i am cursed with a hippy astrological last name though and have to be careful with unusual first names.

I like it for a girl. Not a boy though. Jamie is very uncommon in these parts now and it's such a lovely name.

There are many Princes, Callums, Calebs, Kierons, but no Jamies.

nevergoogledragonbutter Mon 06-Apr-09 16:19:56

I also like Nyx as a name for boy or girl.

LetThemEatCake Mon 06-Apr-09 18:22:25

There are not any Princes!! get outta here!!!

really?????????????????????????????????

I like it for a girl but not a boy.

ellingwoman Mon 06-Apr-09 18:28:24

Per- LEASE!! No! No! No!

Okay if you're a z-lister looking for a wacky name to get you in the DM but otherwise - think of the child!!!! Scenario - geeky, small for his age child going into year 7 at the local 'ard comp. He won't stand a chance...

SheSellsSeashellsByTheSeashore Mon 06-Apr-09 18:28:43

Yes dd1 has a Prince in her class and there was one in her nursery and another in her playgroup. Though one of them could be the same boy.

There are at least two, possibly 3 in dd1's age range in my town.
