Please help with this one!

It was easy with DS1, we both agreed on the name Noah from about 12 weeks pg and both loved the name (although chose not to tell the family until he was born)

This time its so much harder, these are what we have come up with - but none really click iykwim.

Girls
LOLA
MAGGIE
EVIE - though getting too popular
ISABELLE/ISABELLA
MADELEINE

Boys
ISAAC
SAMUEL
VINCE
SETH - but this sounds odd with our surname

Please tell me your HONEST opinions and feel free to add more to the list! I will keep you posted with our opinions

Elizabeth. I think if you have a short sounding surname, a longer first name is great.

I have an Abigail, Talia and Bethany

Madison
Olivia
Cordelia
Francesca
Amelia

I love a lot of those suggestions. I think youre right about needing a long name like Elizabeth to go with a 1 syllable surname.

Im loving Reuben and Talia is a v pretty name.

IKWYM about Maggie making you smile - its so cute!

Agree with others that a longer name is nice with a short surname.

We have a Francesca, but I also like Lucinda and Georgina.

Maggie is lovely but please don't use Margaret - I have an unreasonable dislike for Margaret!

Penny or Nell could be from Penelope which is fab

Talia is very pretty and could be from Natalia if you decide to go long so to speak

Reuben was my boys name of choice - I have 3 girls

what about

Beatrice
Cecelia nn Cece
Phoebe
Corinna
Celeste

Really like all your girls choices - but would share your concerns about Evie being overly popular. Think Maggie is lovely.

Don't particularly like any of your boys names - but i find the boy's name thing so hard. Vince i especially don't like - i find it a bit downmarket.

my suggestions:

girl:

Tabitha
Violet
Sylvie
Elspeth
Annie
Cressida

Boy:
Joseph
Joel
Finn
Felix
Gabriel
Raphael
Rafferty
Patrick
Johnny

Celeste and Francesca are lovely, they go very well with our surname.

I agree with the boy naming thing, much harder than choosing a girls name. Vince and Seth are my DH choice, not particularly my favourites TBH.

Samuel is my favourite at the mo for boys, although loving the new suggestions of Joseph, Joel and Finn - although DH is

I agree lockets - Thea is lovely. How do you pronounce it though?

Is it as it is written or pronounced Tia?

ds2 was desperate for the baby to be Thea, but ds3 can't see it so we adapted it to Taya. But wouldn't have otherwise iyswim.

And then it was a 4th boy anyway LOL
