These are the two names I'm thinking of:

Freya Anne for a girl (Anne after my late aunt)

and

Caden for a boy - not sure how to spell it yet though (Kayden, Caiden....).

Not sure of a middle name to go with it though.

any thoughts?

Anyone know a Caden?

FimboGotAxed Sun 26-Oct-08 10:31:16

Freya - yes

Don't like Caden personally.

PuppyMonkey Sun 26-Oct-08 10:31:37

Ooh no,I don't like either of them sorry.

ForeverOptimistic Sun 26-Oct-08 10:31:41

I love Freya it is a very pretty name. I don't like Caden at all, it is very `now` and will definitely date.

MamaG Sun 26-Oct-08 10:32:16

Freya is pretty

Caden - agree its very "now" and will date, I don't like it sorry

surprisenumber3 Sun 26-Oct-08 10:37:13

hmmm......I'm pretty sure it will be a boy and I like Jack but already have a Jacob so too similar.

I like Callum, Cameron, Harrison...DH doesn't like any of them!

HELP!!!

ForeverOptimistic Sun 26-Oct-08 10:38:02

Ethan?

Goes well with Jacob.

differentWitch Sun 26-Oct-08 10:38:30

Sorry , but Caden is a name I often hear in association the words "get 'ere now you little shit". I do like freya though.

Littlefish Sun 26-Oct-08 10:40:12

Not Caden, and absolutely definitely not Kayden.

Freya is nice.

What about Joshua if you like Jacob?

MamaG Sun 26-Oct-08 10:40:25

Jack and Charlie
Jack and Ethan
Jack and Matthew
Jack and Harry
Jack and Edward

surprisenumber3 Sun 26-Oct-08 10:41:37

lol different witch - no, I'm not one to talk like that!

I love Ethan but we already have one in the family.

DH and I also have a Joseph and a Daniel, so old fashioned bible type names are good.

I have mentioned Elijah and Reuben but DH says he doesn't like those either!

MamaG Sun 26-Oct-08 10:42:56

Joseph, Daniel, Jack and Charlie

Joseph, DAniel, Jack and Matthew

etc

grin

Do it like that, you will see how the names flow

Caden really doesn't go well with those 3 names imo

PuppyMonkey Sun 26-Oct-08 10:43:23

Jasper

differentWitch Sun 26-Oct-08 10:43:49

What about Isaac? that's much less likely to have negative connotations. Plus it has a nice meaning- laughter.

elsiepiddock Sun 26-Oct-08 10:44:06

Agree, Caden vv bad.

Freya is OK, but I know at least 3.

ForeverOptimistic Sun 26-Oct-08 10:44:53

Amos
Matthew
Christopher
Marcus
Dylan (to give a 50/50 split of Js and Ds)
Louis
Oscar

I like some of the names that you have already suggested.

surprisenumber3 Sun 26-Oct-08 10:45:04

yeah I've mentioned that to DH too and he's not keen - saying that, he didn't like Jacob either but now he's 4 it's kind of grown on him, lol

I have definitely gone off Caden now!

Bloodystumperlicious Sun 26-Oct-08 10:46:23

Love Freya, it's on my "next" list. But not Caden.

differentWitch Sun 26-Oct-08 10:47:02

David, then?
Joseph, Daniel, Jacob and David.

MamaG Sun 26-Oct-08 10:47:24

oh yes, Christopher is a great name. Tiff is a fab shortening (IMO) rather than Chris

surprisenumber3 Sun 26-Oct-08 10:48:15

Christopher is XH, lol, don't think that would go now well!

ForeverOptimistic Sun 26-Oct-08 10:48:16

If you like Caden, how about Caleb? Similar ring to it but more established.

surprisenumber3 Sun 26-Oct-08 10:49:25

I love Ethan, really love it. Does it matter if there's already one in the family?

kittywise Sun 26-Oct-08 10:49:34

Freya is ok but very very 'common' caden is a made up name and is pants

MamaG Sun 26-Oct-08 10:49:51

LOL, avoid Christopher then grin

I sniggered inappropriately at a pig on TV called Rachel last night - DH's ex's name. He just rolled his eyes at me!!
