My DH and I are discussing names all the time - he is Spanish and thinks that we should have them all planned out in advance (not even PG yet but a gypsy - don't ask- said we would have a boy and two girls, in that order!! This was a Spanish gypsy so must be believed!)

Our names are -
Ferdinand (shortened to Ferdie or Finn) Lucca

Lola Alexandra

Constancia (Shortened to Molly) Isabella

Our surname is double barreled (Spanish!!) so day to day I imagine Finn, Lola and Molly...

What do you think??

How do you get Molly from Constancia?

I like Lola Alexandra.

I like Ferdinand and the shortenings.

Well thats a bit of my family weirdness mixed with Spanish.

My Great Grandmother was Constance known always as Molly. Constancia is Spanish for Constance!!

We are playing fast and loose with the rules here! (also gotta keep the Spanish rellies happy!)

I like Finn and Luca and Molly - it's just the long versions I'm not too keen on.

Ferdinand (shortened to Ferdie or Finn) Lucca - not keen on any of this apart from Lucca (but isn't the name usually spelt with one c?)

Lola Alexandra - OK but Lola is becoming as common (in the sense of frequent) as Ruby and Ella round our way

Constancia (Shortened to Molly) Isabella - very pretty but I doubt that anyone will 'get' how Constancia can be abbreviated to Molly!

But as I always say, ignore the witterings of a mad old biddy on the internet and pick the names you like.

is Molly a common Spanish abbreviation of Constancia?

Only I know a couple, she's English & DH is Spanish, their little girl is called Molly.

I like Ferdinand Luca with Ferdie for short. Finn is ok, but his family would say Feeen wouldn't they?

Are you spelling Lucca with two Cs?

Can't support Molly at all. Just too insubstantial imo. I like Penélope with Polly for short though.

Connie is a better nn for Constancia.
What do you think of Nancy? Short for Anunciata/Anunción?
