It is lovely.
Alexander is fairly popular, but not at 4-per-class levels!

I think that that goes nicely and whilst popular, it's npt that popular that there will be loads in the same class

LynetteScavo Sat 23-Aug-08 21:35:24

It's a great name. smile

Goes perfectly with Charlotte Jean.

Alex isn't madly popular atm, so certainly not 4 in a class.

It's the only name you can decide on, so why take the risk of asking the nutters on Mumnset? hmm

Alexander is a gorgeous, timeless name for a boy.

I would, however, be a bit more adventurous with a middle name than Paul (which is a nice name too btw).

Not many Alex's round here - it is a nice name.

Just watch your surname with any middle name beginning with P. So no good if your surname was 'nut' for eg but I'm sure you've already thought of that.

From Simpsons.... 'phonecall for Mr I P Freely'

Very nice smile

I love both names. However, if your surname begins with an "E", consider changing the order of the names. (Initialling all those documents one day might prove entertaining otherwise.)

surely middlenames are about keeping family names going...
I can't see the point, personally, in giving a child a middlename just for the sake of it....but, that is me

lots of little alex's round here at the moment but all of them different iyswim

cyteen Sat 23-Aug-08 22:24:24

Top name selection, and goes nicely with Charlotte Jean

3andnomore Sat 23-Aug-08 22:24:47

if anything, here, right now, most Alex's are little girls...not little Alexandras just Alex

I like Alexander Paul but still prefered Damien. Maybe I shall use it myself if we ever have another.

3andnomore Sat 23-Aug-08 22:25:41

Damien is a lovely sounding name...but that Damon nnection just isn't nice

Ah but you see, 3andnomore, my DS is called Dennis, and at least the 666 jokes would make a change from hearing 'ah, I bet he is a right menace'. (which he is, btw, but in a very adorable way!)
Sorry, Knickers, continue!
