Jensen Ackles not quite world famous actor, but famous enough. It's a nice name, probably more popular in the US than here though.

wasn't Jensen a butler - ah no, that was Bensen.
Anyway, no I don't like it - I do know someone who'se ds has it as a middle name.

Celery Mon 21-Jul-08 11:00:16

I know a 2 yr old Jensen, but I wouldn't say it was popular.

Hulababy Mon 21-Jul-08 11:24:29

It isn't my choice of name personally, but I wouldn't say it was a popular/over used names. I don't know any in RL.

PinkPussyCat Mon 21-Jul-08 11:33:00

I know a Jensen, I think she's about 27.

amitymama Mon 21-Jul-08 11:38:00

cool, thanks. just wanted to make sure it wasn't a hugely popular name that i was somehow not aware of.

now to see if i can get dh on board. he prefers julian. i like julian but i don't know if i love it, yk?

On reading the topic header, I thought Hmmm, Jenson, Butler

Then it grew on me in the minute it took me to read the thread.

I bestow my blessings

I know of one little boy called Jensen. He's a little darling. Love the name. Far nice than Julian imo.

olyoly Mon 21-Jul-08 15:53:55

Jensen Button.

I've never met a Jensen, but it is a nice name. It grows on you.

amitymama Mon 21-Jul-08 17:41:04

Any idea what sort of nicknames might be given a boy named Jensen? Just trying to think what it could be shortened to because I know it will eventually by someone. Jenz?

amitymama Mon 21-Jul-08 17:42:35

Oh, and middle name would be James. Is there any risk of him being called J.J. over here or is that mostly an American thing (to call a kid by its first two initials)?

LobstersLass Mon 21-Jul-08 17:54:40

It'll get shortened to Jeni.

I would say that there is a significant risk that he'll get called JJ.

I've know three John Paul's and they've all been called JP, or Jayp. Quite strange really. I'm not sure I've been that aware of anyone else's middle names.

Ineedsomesleep Mon 21-Jul-08 20:40:56

Jensen Chav?

nickeldime Tue 22-Jul-08 01:24:43

It's not a widely used name: Jensen baby name

It sounds nice though, so it's good that it's unique!

Cynthia32 Tue 22-Jul-08 01:30:56

It sounds like the name of a brand of dusters to me, sorry.

ThatBigGermanPrison Tue 22-Jul-08 01:40:16

It's popular for haulage companies. Sure, call your child that. You could name a daughter Windolene.

ThatBigGermanPrison Tue 22-Jul-08 01:40:58

And no, nobody will call him Jenz. They will call him Jenny.

thumbwitch Tue 22-Jul-08 01:43:36

or worse still, the jenster
