thanks for feedback. you have to have thick skin to put names out...very hard to come up with boy names that aren't boring. mannix is irish by the way. my problem with dylan is how common it is too.

Is Mannix Irish!? I have heard of Manus, pronounced MANNus, with emphasis on first syllable. A Gaelic version of Magnus. But Mannix? Irish?

What about Lennox? That has the same feel as Mannix, but sounds less invented. Len is better than 'man' as a basis for a boys name!

Brody is the sort of name that Americans choose 'because it is Irish'. Brody to an Irish person seems only like a sur name.

If you live in Scotland, Angus is quite common these days. I like Mannix, Brody - but spelt Brodie and Forde - spelt Ford.

Mannix doesn't sound Irish to me. They all sound a bit made-up American. Brody Forde Henderson for example sounds like a law firm. Angus is OK if you are Scottish, Dylan if you are Welsh, but Forde and Brody... please don't..
