Tinker Thu 15-May-08 22:26:56

Or you can't spell Amber

Miggsie Thu 15-May-08 22:26:57

..isn't an ember the remains of a dying fire? I did not know it was a name.
Also people might confuse it with Amber?

expatinscotland Thu 15-May-08 22:27:05

I think not.

You are joking, I presume.

I prefer Cinder.

Hassled Thu 15-May-08 22:28:04

No no no. As already said, either you can't spell or it's a dying fire. Neither is good.

shreddies Thu 15-May-08 22:28:16

No. It's Amber gone wrong

Chuffinnora Thu 15-May-08 22:28:20

Makes me think of a fire going out.
Fireman have to make sure all the embers are out.

What other context do you have?

Amapoleon Thu 15-May-08 22:28:32

Ditto Tinker

I kind of like it, but it does make me think of Bella Emberg (though of course no one will have heard of her when Ember is grown up)

PrincessPeaHead Thu 15-May-08 22:32:47

can you continue the theme started by Cinderella and call her Emberella? Sooooo pretty wink

ha ha

themoon66 Thu 15-May-08 22:33:11

It says 'dying' Ember to me too. Sorry.

Tortington Thu 15-May-08 22:34:18

ember - are you shitting me?

NoBiggy Thu 15-May-08 22:34:41

Have you considered Ashley?

Or Sooty?

Spidermama Thu 15-May-08 22:34:48

I don't think of embers as dying ... rather warm glowing remnants.

I agree it might sound like Amber said with an Ozzy or South African accent ... simply because people are very familiar with the name Amber so they will try to make sense of what they hear and may not have heard Ember used as a name.

Tortington Thu 15-May-08 22:34:57

under my emberella ella ella ay ay ay under my ember ella ella ella ay ay ay

Would get confused with Amber, people might think you misspelt

MadBadandDangeroustoKnow Thu 15-May-08 22:35:42

Time for a rethink?
