people who say stuff like this always have awful names for their dc, only you are too polite to tell them so.

Yes you HAVE to think up a real shocker of a name - like Potatobucket or something - and try to convince her it really is your intention.

I love people like that - they are fun to bait.

LOVE Potatobucket, can I have it for my baby?

when we were looking for a name for our bump we came across Jamshed - its a persian Boys name meaning shining river... and we have Polly Ester for a girl... thats what we tell anyone who starts getting critical/ too nosey...

I would have said I was calling it by her name whether it was a boy or a girl because as she says you like stupid names.

Dont worry some people are just plain rude!

Someone asked me what names we were thinking of for no 4 when I told her she laughed. I just smiled and said "well luckily its my baby and not yours" She also used to comment on how we all fitted in our house. Even shouting to a relative of her "this lady has 4 kids and they only live in a pokey little house!"

I don't have anything to do with this idiot anymore!

Ledodgy · 21/04/2008 11:34

*calling it her name I mean

sussies · 21/04/2008 11:34

You should of told her we are thinking of naming the baby Fuckwit after you.

Report
Buckets · 21/04/2008 12:29

Actually I would have got quite defensive and said 'are you this rude to everyone or is it just me you have a problem with?'

Report
bluenosesaint · 21/04/2008 13:21

How rude

It wasn't Potatobucket it was Patate for those who remember that excellent thread. Or Mahree for a girl

C'mon lets hear all your unusual names then. No-one on mumsnet will be judgey about them surely

yes, you have to say now you've started this thread !

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/04/2008 16:40

So c'mon then - what stupid names do your dc have?

What a shame her dd is the first Felicity I've heard of in ages, and it's a strong possibility for dd2 if this bump turns out to be another dd.

Sounds like you should be refering to her as 'that stuck up bitch's lot' in that case!
