Middle name - Vera.

I would love to honour my late grandma Vera in the middle name of my daughter but it’s a hard name for middle spot.

Theodora Vera is option at the moment - what are your thoughts? Can anyone suggest anything else?

I think that's lovely. Of course they both end in an 'a', but it's not like it's hyphenated and you will even say her middle name.
It's a lovely gesture, and I think middle names are an ideal opportunity to remember someone.

I like a middle name that remembers someone. And they don't have to flow really well either as there's a reason for the name. That said I think Theodora Vera sounds lovely.

All my dc have middle names of relatives who have died.
I never thought about if they "went together" but I wouldn't say they were a perfect fit tbh but we are happy with the names.

I think it's fine.

Like a pp, we used a relative's name for dd's middle name. It doesn't go at all really, but it doesn't matter. She loves it too as it remembers someone she would have loved to have met.

Ds has DH's name as his middle name. It sounds quite good though.

Vera is nice in Italian or Spanish but in English its a bit grim.

Also I’m not convinced by the repeated ee sounds and a ending of the 2 names together - bit clunky.

I like it and love the family connection.
Also I think it's unlikely your daughter will be called by her full name much, unless you want the flow so when your giving out it's easier to say "Theodora Vera get down here right now!"

I think it goes fine - but if you don’t want the double a you could stick something else in the middle - maybe another family name like Theodora Catherine Vera

It's not that both end in a - it's the repeated -ra that sounds a bit clumsy. A variant like Verena or Veronica would flow better if Theodora is the definite choice of first name. Or a third name inserted between Theodora and Vera as @partyatthepalace suggests breaks it up.

You rarely use your middle name anyway (thank goodness for me!).

I don't think Theodora Vera sounds great tbh- the repeated -ra sound sounds wrong.

Lovely idea to use Vera as a middle name though.
