Usually I seem to only hear Joshua/William/Theo and I have recently noticed lots of Roman's and Harper's.
Today I heard Ernest, Primrose and Inca!
What names do you hear shouted most often in the playground, and what are the most unusual names you have heard while there?

Not necessarily in the playground but out and about I'm hearing lots of
Ella's Freya's Isla's Olivia's. Iris. Ruby's. Gabriel's Lucas. Hugo. Jayden. Max. I've yet to go without hearing Charlie and I'm hearing April quite a lot too. Which to me is odd as I don't think its ever been in the top 100, unless its the same kid.Grin

Everyone around here seems to be called Ronnie, Bobby, Stanley or Olivia, Evie and Sophia.

I did hear a Cosmo once. But I live in a small county town, would expect it's different in West London for example

Thinking of other more unusual names, DD once attended a baby class that included a Felix, Mabel and Solomon too.

At a toddler group - Bob (not Robert, Bobbie etc, just Bob). Also a couple of Daphnes,
a Diggory, Reva, Ameus and a Serenity (incidentally I loved this. It was made even more lovely by the fact that 3 year old Serenity was anything but serene. She was a total wild live wire and ran her poor exhausted mum ragged GrinGrin)

mrs I have never met a Serenity, Angel, Prince, Divine, Joy who lived up to their names. I often feel for their poor parents Grin.

Round my way we have a Boudicca, Zephyr, Bowie and Hendrix (siblings), along with the usual Ava, Evie, Amelia, Arlo etc. But it’s one of those bits of London.

Polaris

It was a soft play place, about 10 years ago. I checked the signing in sheet. She really was called Polaris.

Inca?!?! Was the child a boy or a girl.

We’ve got an Inga whose parents are polish coincidentally. Usually it’s all Ava, Theo, Mia, Layla, Alfie and Archie. More unusual would be Aiste, Alan, Pebbles, Rock (not brother and sister lol), Randy, Aerys, Winnie, Silvia, Horatio, Brenda, Xavier, Jane, Maurice, Briella, Stan (Stanislav).

I often wonder about the girl who used to play with my dtds while waiting for their older dsis to come out of school. Her mum called her Lolly which I assumed was a nickname and it turned out it was... short for Lollipop. They left the school but I think I damaged my friendship with the look on my face. I’m usually great at the poker face but I was over tired with toddler twins and was thrown completely.

Not odd names but unusual for the time, when my youngest dd started school with many Finns, jaxons, Tyler's, Jaydens etc and there was a Eugene and a Keith.
