Sally-what

Evening all, my mum passed away a couple of years ago and her name was Sally. I like the name but not on its own, I would like to pair it with another name but can't get beyond adapt-Rose (which I know is notorious for being a fluff filler name)

Would appreciate some ideas

Thanks

Sally Ann is probably the classic, but is perhaps not thrilling. Could Sally be a middle name instead?

Sorry should have read Sally-Rose in my post,

I thought if it as a middle name but didn't really find it went with much as a second name

Hmm I suppose you could use Sarah? Or did your mum have a middle name you could use?

But honestly, I think Sally is nice on its own and I'd probably go for that. Or go for your favourite first name with Sally as a middle name.

I like Sally on its own, or Sarah with Sally as a nickname, otherwise Sallyanne.

FWIW, my mum died a year to the day before my dd was born. We gave her my mum's name as a middle name, as it was not to our taste. It doesn't really go with the first name or our surname, but we very rarely say all three names together, so it isn't an issue.

Sally-Ann goes best same as Sarah Jane or Claire Louise but could have
Sally-Rae
Sally-Kate
Sally-Jo

Apparently Sally is traditionally a shortening for Sarah, maybe Sarah Jane / Sarah Louise / Sarah whatever on birth certificate and Sally as nn? Sarah goes with a lot of names I think.

Sarah Mary (no hyphen) is a lovely combination.

How about Sadie?

I believe it is a derivative and is lovely.
