Start using Mumsnet PremiumNames with a similar vibe to Aaron?
(37 Posts)Hi just found out we’re having a little boy, we both like the name Aaron but wondered if anyone has any suggestions for names in a similar vein that we might consider?
Thanks x
Jonas
Nathaniel
Jacob
Caleb
Isaac
Joseph
I'm biased but I just say go for Aaron.
Aidan
Rowan
Leo
Samuel
Austin
Edwin
Reuben
Liam, Callum, Isaac, all feel similar to me but actually don’t know why I think that!!
Noah
I like Aaron
Stephen
Richard
Adam
Daniel
John
Michael
but I prefer Aaron to all of those.
Ethan
Adam
Jacob
Ezra
Nathan
Caron

Elijah
Thanks for your suggestions. Aaron is lovely, we might well go for that!
@ILoveStickers I love Jonas!
Joshua.
Adam
Levi
Jacob
Caleb

Although if you both like Aaron why not just go with it. Some couples would give anything to have a name they both agreed on. What's the point in complicating things.
Taron
Callan
Stellan
I make 2 instant connections:
Aarons at school hung around with kids called: Ricky, Bradley, David, Jason, Leon.
Biblical names: Michael, Peter, Paul, John.
Aaron is really lovely and so underused these days too. Fallen way outside the top 100 now and continues to fall. The opposite of trendy. A great name. Use it!
Use aaron
If not
Peter
Laurence
Winston
Evan
Walter
Wilfred
Nathan
Tristan
I know an Aaron (Air-on) with a brother called Samuel.
Other biblical names you might like:
Asher
Asa
Paul
Saul
Ezra
Elijah
Peter
Matthew
James/Jacob
Thomas
Joel
John
Silas
Solomon
Jonah
Luke
Jude
Josiah
Caleb
Mark
Ehren.
I like Aaron a lot! There is also Oran, which I like too, or Orson.
Some good suggestions on here already.
How about:
Gabriel
Benjamin
Thomas
Adam
Joshua
Declan
Drew
Jake
Ryan?
How do you pronounce Aaron? There are two ways.
I quite like the spelling Aran if you like that pronunciation. Cillian Murphy has a son called Aran and I assume he is named after the beautiful Aran Islands in Ireland.
There is also Arran which are Scottish islands I believe.
Warren
Toby
I loved the name Aaron when I was pregnant with my second but thought it sounded a bit too close to my oldest, who is Ewan
Good luck deciding
Erm... Aaron? 😂 in all my years as a TA and parent I’ve only come across 1 child Aaron so it’d consider it rare but not “out there”.
