Start using Mumsnet PremiumAre Elliott and Scarlett too similar?
(16 Posts)I know siblings Ellis and Scarlett, might be a good alternative?
Elliot should be spelt like that imo, it then looks less matchey to scarlett, unless you already have an Elliott of course.
I think they're ok for siblings but too close for twins - if that makes sense.
I think they sound great together
I think they're too similar.
absolutely fine
Not keen on them both having the double tt
The endings have a slightly different sound so I think it's OK.
If you don't have an Elliott already and you're just considering names I'd drop that second 't'. The first name Elliot is usually spelled with just one, and it makes Elliot and Scarlett look a bit more different.
Fine imo
I really like them as sibling names
No I think they are fine together - lots of people have 2 children whose names both end in the more common "ah" or "ee" sound, I don't see how both ending in "tt" is any different. Could be a hassle if you have a 3rd child though, they might feel left out!
Yes, too many “T”s going on.
No they are fine.
Not at all
No I don't think so but they are very popular names. Is this for twins?
What do you think?
