Start using Mumsnet PremiumNames that end with the sound “eeela”?
(28 Posts)So names like:
Lila
Sheila
Mila
Etc?
Amelia
Celia
Ophelia
Bells3032
Amelia
Celia
Ophelia
None of those end in the sound the OP wants.
Aeela
Beela
Ceela
Deela
Fila if you're sporty lol.
Leela. I always thought Lila was pronounced Lie-la.
Veela?
It's actually harder that I thought! I love Mila, is that not an option or are you just looking for alternatives?
Tamila
You might have to go “foreign”. Eg
Camila in Spanish and Kamila in Slavic languages are both pronounced similarly to Ca-mee-la with the sound you want.
Mila and Lila would be my la and lie la here
Obvs there's
Wheeler and
Dealer
And there will be a few names from India or Muslim or Arabic countries: eg
Jameela / Jamila
Sameela etc
Eela is Finish
Abeela
Adeela
Ameela (Arabic)
Andeela
Probably lots more but I can't go through the entire alphabet. Think of a word that could be a name that you like, then Google it to see if it is already a name and has a meaning.
Neela is Punjabi.
Neala is Irish.
Jameela
Shamila
Leela
Neala, pronounced neela
Definitely Sheila from your list, OP
You can have other forms of Sheila too:
Shelagh
Síle
I would pronounce Lila, Lie-la. The Lila I know, her full name is Delilah.
Obvs there's
Wheeler and
Dealer
Ooh Sheila would be quite cool and refreshing
Why that particular sound? It's not a particularly nice sound...far too 'slippery' eel-a 🤣
I know a Lila pronounced Leela; it's a Turkish pronunciation
Anila / Aneela
Kelila
Lucila
Odila
Nila / Neela
Seela
Tequila!
Keela
Nabeela it's an Arabic name
Cordelia
Cornelia
Delia
