Thank you in advance!

Elizabeth.
Isabel or Isobel are both really nice. Isabelle is silly, unless you are French.

Elizabeth as I am biased since it is my DD's name Smile

Isabelle but a million miles. Elizabeth is a god awful ugly name.

I really like them both but I would go for Elizabeth based on the fact that it's less popular, has an obvious spelling and has lots of nickname options.

Elizabeth, but I like both! Elizabeth is probably more common across all age groups. I know Elizabeths ranging from a 2 year old to Her Maj, who is obviously in her 90s.

Isabelle / Isabel / Isobel / Isabella there have been a lot of over the past 10 years or so, whereas it wasn't quite so common in my age group (80s baby). I knew one at university and always likes it, but she was the only one I knew. Wonder if it used to be more upper class? She certainly was very upper middle class. It's mainstream now I think and doesn't really have a class imo.

Elizabeth and you can nick name Beth / Lizzie etc depends if you like them

For some reason I can’t stand Izzy which a lot of Isabels get shorten to

Elizabeth but you may want to think about what short forms you'd like as it will inevitably be shortened. I love Beth & Eliza personally

They are both the same names, in different forms.

I would pick Isabel or Isobel, which are lovely, as is Isabella. Isabelle is a bit frilly (unless you're French).

Elizabeth is nice though, and very classic of course.

DD and I both have Elisabeth as a middle name - one of my favourites.

Elizabeth. Isabel(le)s and Isabellas are everywhere and get called Izzy, which I don't like.

I prefer Isabel or Isobel - I agree with pp - Isabelle feels a bit frilly. Elizabeth is fine - classic name, but a little dull. Like the nn Beth though. It's also not as popular as Isabelle etc. at the moment.

If you like both equally, go for Elizabeth - it's the ultimate classic name, could suit anyone, and gives her the widest choice of nicknames if she wants one or doesn't like the full name as she grows older.

Isabel is very pretty (the original spelling, I think Isabelle looks overdone unless you have French heritage). The major problem with this name apart from popularity is the variety of spellings (there's also Isobel, as well as all the Isabella's). She would often be correcting people I think.

Isabelle with that spelling but then I’m biased.

Isabel names are lovely but sooo common now most classes have an Izzy. Think Lizzie would be quite refreshing

Isabelle is just so common and dull now unfortunately. I don't much care for Elizabeth but at least it would be more interesting...

I like both but Isabelle is prettier.

Elizabeth - because there are SO many little girls called Isabelle/ Isabel /Isobel / Issy/ Belle etc

Elizabeth is lovely and gives lots of different nn options Libby, Eliza, Lizzie, Beth, Betty etc.

Just don’t think any Isabel names are special enough for a new baby - seriously overused like Sarah in the 70s.
