And what middle name for a boy? We have a long surname (written and syllables) so it would be something like:

Reuben Something Long-Surnamery
Elias Something Long-Surnamery

Any others that would go?

Reuben Joseph
Reuben Leo
Reuben George
As you see, I much prefer Reuben.

Go the whole hog There are increasingly children with hyphenated first names and surnames,be extra special and stick a hyphenated middle name in there as well.

Elias (or, better still, Eliah).

Reuben Francis
Reuben James

Elias Fox
Elias River

Reuben and Elias are both great names; you can’t go wrong!

@Crosswithlifeatm Reuben/Elias would be a non hyphenated first name. The middle name would also be non hyphenated. It would be too much (imo) with our long surname.

I love them both. What about Reuben Elias or Elias Reuben...then you get to use them both :D & both ways work quite well, I think.

I'm not keen on either of them. Reuben seems a bit wet and Elias is too long.

I love them both - Reuben possibly just edges it for me. If we'd had a DS2 he'd have been Rowan Elias.
