Baby names

Noah, Jacob and ....

SO..... I don't seem to be finding the ONE girls name I love.
I have a list of names: Bonnie, Chloe, Elsie, Freya, Georgia, Heidi, Isabella, Skye and Sofia. But responses to these names have been variable.

I prefer more popular names and names that are less likely to be shortened.

Please help me to find a name for Noah and Jacob's Sister.

Please pick either:
• 1 or 2 names from my list above if there are any you think would fit perfectly OR
• If you don't think any or those sound nice with Noah and Jacob, please suggest 1 or 2 girls names you think would.

My reason for limiting to 1 or 2 is because I'm trying to narrow down, rather than be overwhelmed by pages of names.

Thank you.

Chloe and Skye are the two that go best imo.

I think only Skye and Heidi (Skye sounds best) work with your boys names. I don't think any of the others sound right.

Chloe from your list.

Rachel is my suggestion.

A modern name like Skye (or really anything on your list) doesn’t ‘go’ with two Old Testament Biblical names at all. So Hannah Judith Ruth Abigail Rachel Rebecca Rhoda Deborah. But I don’t see any reason why names should ‘go’ together anyway!

None of them go very well tbh, they've got a really different "feel" - maybe because Noah and Jacob are so decidedly Old Testament?

What about something like Ruth, Zoe, Rebecca (not short though and lends itself to lots of shortenings so probably not your style!), Miriam, Bethany, Esther, Hannah, maybe even Eden?

Noah, Jacob and Freya
Noah, Jacob and Heidi
Noah, Jacob and Elsie

From your list, the above go nicely with your boys! Smile

I agree with a PP I think a Biblical/Hebrew themed name works best. Abigail, Rebecca, Rachel, Hannah or even Keziah?

From your list Georgia and Sofia (Much prefer Sophia tho) are the best to go with Noah and Jacob.

My own suggestions for you would be Jemima and Gabrielle

Anna. Biblical and not likely to be shortened.

Rachel Hannah or anna would be my pick

I agree that those seem to sound too modern to go with Noah and Jacob. I also agree Hannah goes really well and whilst I hadn't really thought about using it myself I do like it and I think it is really quite underused for no real reason. Elizabeth might work.

Hannah would work really well actually, as suggested by PPs.

@mrs87 and @BoobsOnTheMoon I quite like Eden, however I think its a bit unisex for me. I have a unisex name myself and dislike. I think it lacks a femininity showhow. So I don't particularly want to do that to my daughter.

@VintageGirl89 No that's fair enough, think that one is an acquired taste! My friend has a daughter Eden but also know someone with a son also called it... So you're not wrong!

None of them go. Your sons have well known Old Testament/Jewish names and the names you have picked are a very different style. I’d look for something Old Testament for a girl.

Naomi
Sara (as a variant of Sarah)

@daisypond I'm not particularly fond of any biblical girls names and some have negative associations from people with those names.

Nothing negative about Naomi or Sara.
Eve? Can’t be shortened. Popular. Nice. Goes really well.

I like Eve with your names
