On my quest to find a girls name I love, I've found the names Bonnie and Skye.

What do you think of these names? Which do you prefer and why? If neither, please say!
And do you think you would they go nicely with Noah and Jacob?

Thank you.

I think both are lovely and go with your boy names. I probably prefer Skye by a whisker.

Bonnie is cute when they are a little girl, but not sure it works well for a grown up woman. What about calling them Belinda, and using Bonnie as a nn? Not keen on Skye.

Someone I know has two Sheepdogs called Bonnie and Skye.

I really like Bonnie.

I love both but as pp said, Skye works better as an adult.

I have a Bonnie, we haven’t met another one!

I was just about to say they sound like dog's names, but that's because I thought maybe you were having twins.

As long as you're not using both, they're fine. Prefer Bonnie.

Love them both individually but together they sound like a pair of sheepdogs. So pick your favourite :)

Skye is lovely and much better than Bonnie. Knew a Bonnie at school. She was very pretty but not a very nice person.

First thought is the Skye Boat Song, speed bonnie boat .... over the sea to Skye. Skye is probably better but I don't think either go with Noah and Jacob, they're a different style of name

Like the song? Hmm

Speed bonnie boat like a bird on the wing
Onward the sailors cry.
Carry the lad that's born to be king
Over the sea to Skye

No for that reason, although they are nice enough names individually.

They are definitely common dog names.

Do you have a Scottish connection/ancestry? I prefer Skye or Skyler/Skylar. Not as keen on Bonnie.

sorry, i'm in the dogs name camp too!
I think Skye is a bit chavy too.

Bonnie is hideous (sorry) Confused It's overly twee and cutesy for a child, and looks even more ridiculous on an adult. I don't think it goes with your two boys names either.

Skye is simple, lovely, and one of my favourite girls names. It goes perfectly with Noah and Jacob.

Skye all the way.

Bonnie being ‘twee’ and ‘cutesy’ isn’t something I agree with. A neighbour and friend of mine is called Bonnie, she is a strong women who is a solicitor, wife and an amazing mum of 4. So the name for me only has positive connotations.
Just my input here!

I really don’t like Bonnie. Skye is bit better but I’m still not keen. But neither go with Noah and Jacob at all.

Bonnie screams as a dog's name, cutesy and shudder-making to me, and while it's lovely to hear of a strong woman called Bonnie, one example doesn't make the name any better sadly.

I love the name Skye, but it doesn't match well with your boys' names which are more traditional. That wouldn't matter to me, just noting it since you asked.

Love Bonnie... cute for a baby and a name they can grow into aswell! Skye is okay but I'm hearing more and more boys called it these days which isn't a problem for some people but I prefer non unisex names xx

I don't like Skye, it makes me think of a baby with pierced ears and a pink pram.

I’m so ashamed to say it but DD was named Bonnie in memory of a much loved family dog, loved the name anyway, she’s Bonita on her birth certificate.
