Variations of Freya?

This is a long shot but does anyone have any suggestions of slight variations of the name Freya? We love the name but want something slightly more unusual to go with our sons name which is more unusual. Any alternative endings or extensions perhaps?

I think you can spell it Freja or Freyja which is Scandinavian.

Freyja is the only other way I've seen it spelt and apparently more traditional that Freya. I'd think it would just get mis-spelt more often than Freya though IMO!

Ours is standard spelling (and she pre-dates the surge - adult now) but no one can spell it. At school they seemed to think it was a cross between Onya, Freda and Sonja, so we’ve had weird pronunciation and multiple spellings. If it helps, the Anya in the same school was subject to the same type of pronunciation and spelling issues
