I have a feeling we have a very different preference on baby boy names. grin Not a bad thing, the world would be boring if we were all alike.

EveryoneLoves09876 Fri 22-May-20 14:50:04

Very true @sweetnosugar
Interesting you like Reuben though. My thought was it's so popular.

Jasmineben Fri 22-May-20 14:53:45

Austen- 4. bit American. Not my taste but not awful
Elias- 2
Artin- confused Martin? 1
Jude- 3. It’s a decent name but it’s the German word for Jew so has connotations of the war for me and those awful Jude stars
Reuben- 6
Julian- 1
Francis- 1
Elham- a well deserved 0
Caspian- 8
Tristan- 1

EveryoneLoves09876 Fri 22-May-20 15:08:50

Overall, I think Elias is looking good.

merryhouse Fri 22-May-20 15:32:38

Austen - meh. 5
Elias - either not English or trying to be different - 4
Artin - ? Artem or Martin? - 2
Jude - 6
Reuben - 5
Julian - prissy 3
Francis - 3
Elham - surname. 2
Caspian - 5
Tristan - also a bit prissy. No-one ever knows how many "r"s it has.

So I appear not to have given any of them a 10... but this is my order of preference:

Jude, Reuben, Caspian, Austen, Elias, Julian, Francis, Tristan, Elham, Arten

KatnissK Fri 22-May-20 15:39:20

Austen 10 - love, wanted for ds2 (although would have spelled it Austin) but DH dislikes
Elias 9 - very nice, I think I marginally prefer Eli
Artin 2
Jude 5
Reuben 1 - don't get the current love for this name, it's horrible
Julian 2 - middle aged man
Francis 1 - please no
Elham 2
Caspian 8 - actually really like
Tristan 8

KatnissK Fri 22-May-20 15:40:08

6. Jude
5. Reuben
4. Francis but I did think that was a girls' name
3. Julian
2. Elham
1. Artin, looks like a misspelling of Martin

Edenember Sat 23-May-20 00:22:02

10. Elias
9. Jude
8. Reuben
7. Caspian
6. Francis
5. Austen
4. Julian

finallychangedmyusername Sat 23-May-20 08:37:56

1 Julian - bad personal association and I struggle to separate the person from the name
2 Artin - haven't heard of this before
3 Francis - just feels very fusty, dated
4 Elham - haven't heard of this before
5 Austen - spelling is too "Jane" for me, I prefer Austin as a first name
6 Jude - too unisex for me personally although it's an ok name
7 Tristan - Feels ultra posh (again this might be a personal association)

Joint 10 (can't pick between them) - Caspian, Elias, Reuben - all fabulous!

Boys:
Austen - 5
Elias - 4 (not 100% sure how your pronounce it)
Artin - 2
Jude - 9
Reuben- 0 (I hate this name, I think of a bulldog for some reason and I have no idea why its popular)
Julian- 6
Francis- 9 (love this and Frank/Frankie as a nickname)
Elham - 7
Caspian - 8
Tristan - 7

ShirleyB25 Sat 23-May-20 09:04:13

Austen 1
Elias 1
Artin ??? Is that a name - 1
Jude 1
Reuben 1
Julian -1
Francis -1
Elham ??? -1
Caspian -5
Tristan -4

grin grin

I'm sorry OP but I really didn't like any of your names. They all sound like you are trying to be very posh and 'unusual'. Poor kid. I say just give him a normal name and allow him to fit in everywhere.

Spirali Sat 23-May-20 09:05:26

Austen - 5 (hate this spelling!)
Elias - 2 (adore this!)
Artin - 10
Jude - 4
Reuben - 3
Julian -8
Francis - 9
Elham - 10
Caspian - 1 by miles!!
Tristan - Joint 10 (can’t stand it sorry)

Had to give 3 of them a 10. I lost interest in the names after Caspian and Elias!

Spirali Sat 23-May-20 09:06:29

Oh and I clearly didn’t read the OP properly and did the numbers in reverse blush

daisypond Sat 23-May-20 09:07:09

Austen. 4 Austin is better.
Elias - 6
Artin - 3 don’t know this name.
Jude - 8
Reuben - 1 Only if you are Jewish.
Julian - 7 classic
Francis - 4 I don’t like the siss ending.
Elham 3 don’t know this.
Caspian - 3. Sea. Narnia books
Tristan - 7. Slightly posh vibes.

GrimmsFairytales Sat 23-May-20 09:14:24

Austen - 2 (I prefer Austin that would be a 3)
Elias - 6
Artin - 1
Jude - 3
Reuben - 8 (But very popular)
Julian - 1
Francis - 1
Elham - 1
Caspian - 1 (Makes me think of Prince Caspian from the Narnia books)
Tristan - 3

I'm really not a fan of most of them. Obviously we all have different tastes, but I think there's a reason a lot of these are uncommon and less well used.

OnABeachSomewhere Sat 23-May-20 09:19:27

Austen - like if spelled Austin. Retro, cars
Elias - quite like
Artin - Artex ceilings
Jude - meh
Reuben - OK
Julian - great in a retro Famous Five way
Francis - like, saint's name, Frank is a good nickname
Elham - sounds like Ellen, quite feminine
Caspian - OK but Caspar a bit less frilly
Tristan - like, a bit mysterious
