(30 Posts)Hi. Think this is my first ever post. I'm really torn between either Jodie or hazel.
Has anyone got any feedback, thoughts?
Hazel is gorgeous
Jodie is not
Both sound quite dated to me, although if I had to pick one I'd go with Hazel.
Josie/Josephine is pretty and much more classic than Jodie which is very specifically 80s.
Hazel
I really like Jodie.
(The one I knew was an awful person- but the name is pretty).
I think Hazel is becoming popular and is likely to date badly due to to the recent surge.
Hazel, I love it. Jodie is awful.
Oh gosh, Hazel a million times over!
Both names have very different vibes to me.
Definitely Hazel
Wow you couldn’t get 2 more different names if you tried. I like the vibe of Hazel but prefer the sound of Jodie. ITSWIM.
Jodie is dated if that bothers you. However dated also means unusual amongst her age group. Hazel I think will have a huge popularity surge and she could be one of many in her class. Again it’s only a problem if it bothers you.
Love Hazel. I think Jodie is a bit dated.
Both very dated.
Jodie is not nice. Hazel is okay but I cannot imagine a little Hazel now.
Hazel!
Both very dated but prefer Hazel by a mile.
Hazel.
I love them both
Hazel by a mile.
Jodie.
Not that keen on Hazel but it's better than Jodie, which is awful.
Hazel! Such a Gorgeous name x
Hazel - a classic that won't date.
Definitely Hazel
It looks like I’m in the minority but I really like Jodie. I don’t associate it with a decade so doesn’t sound dated to me; I think it sounds fresh compared to some of the names in the top 20.
I also really like Hazel so I think you have a lovely shortlist, but Jodie sounds nicer to me
Hazel. Jodie sounds like a nickname for something.
Hazel is lovely.
Hazel is very pretty.
I really dislike Jodie
